Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2012 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings & Drawings, 19th Century Sculptures, which included the work Autoportrait Présumé De L'Artiste by Edouard Moyse. The price achieved of EUR 1,263.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edouard Moyse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In The Synagogue in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 53,125.00 (€ 40,950.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2012 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings & Drawings, 19th Century Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autoportrait Présumé De L'Artiste von Edouard Moyse zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.263,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edouard Moyse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In The Synagogue im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 53.125,00 (€ 40.950,44).
