Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Christies in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Prints, which included the work Berthe Morisot by Édouard Manet. The price achieved of USD 1,890.00 (€ 1,740.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Édouard Manet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Grand Canal à Venise in November last year with an auction result of USD 51,915,000.00 (€ 50,290,613.19).
