In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work French My Father'S Studio by Edouard Joseph Dantan. The price achieved of USD 145,000.00 (€ 93,139.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 160,000.00.
