This artwork by Edoardo Villa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in April 2021. In the Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale auction, the work Two standing figures sold for GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,053.27) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edoardo Villa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abstract, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 5,062.50 (€ 5,872.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edoardo Villa erzielte im April 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale wurde die Arbeit Two standing figures für GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.053,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edoardo Villa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Abstract beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 5.062,50 (€ 5.872,14) versteigert wurde.
