In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work Filey Brigg by Edmund John Niemann. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,450.27), 58% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund John Niemann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work British View Of Paris, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 19,119.62).

Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Filey Brigg von Edmund John Niemann zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.450,27) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Edmund John Niemann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit British View Of Paris beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 19.119,62) versteigert wurde.
