A top price for Edmund Havell, Jnr. - as previously expected
The work Sir John Cope with his hounds on the steps of Bramshill House, Hampshire by Edmund Havell, Jnr. was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,501.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sir John Cope with his hounds on the steps of Bramshill House, Hampshire is the most expensive artwork by Edmund Havell, Jnr. that we have observed at auctions so far.
