Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edmund Dulac could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner auction, the work "Ulalume" changed hands for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,957.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund Dulac - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Little Mermaid (At the mere sight of the bright liquid they drew back in terror), which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 55,250.00 (€ 67,189.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edmund Dulac konnte im Dezember 2012 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner wechselte die Arbeit "Ulalume" für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.957,57) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
