Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "I Met Her Deity Cutting The Clouds Towards Paphos" by Edmund Dulac was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2012. It changed hands for a price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,499.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund Dulac - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Little Mermaid (At the mere sight of the bright liquid they drew back in terror), which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 55,250.00 (€ 67,189.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit "I Met Her Deity Cutting The Clouds Towards Paphos" von Edmund Dulac kam im Dezember 2012 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.499,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 16.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edmund Dulac mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Little Mermaid (At the mere sight of the bright liquid they drew back in terror) beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 55.250,00 (€ 67.189,14) versteigert wurde.
