In December 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner, which included the work "Every Cloud Has Its Silver Lining" by Edmund Dulac. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,332.78) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edmund Dulac have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Little Mermaid (At the mere sight of the bright liquid they drew back in terror) in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 67,189.14).

Im Dezember 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Every Cloud Has Its Silver Lining" von Edmund Dulac zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.332,78) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edmund Dulac auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Little Mermaid (At the mere sight of the bright liquid they drew back in terror) im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 67.189,14).
