In December 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner, which included the work "Came Shining Through The Dusk An Angel Shape" by Edmund Dulac. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 26,250.00 (€ 32,373.54), 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund Dulac - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Little Mermaid (At the mere sight of the bright liquid they drew back in terror), which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 55,250.00 (€ 67,189.14).

Im Dezember 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Came Shining Through The Dusk An Angel Shape" von Edmund Dulac zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 26.250,00 (€ 32.373,54) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Edmund Dulac mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Little Mermaid (At the mere sight of the bright liquid they drew back in terror) beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 55.250,00 (€ 67.189,14) versteigert wurde.
