Sold at the lower estimate price
The work British autumn by Edmund Dulac was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2013. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,248.54) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund Dulac - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Little Mermaid (At the mere sight of the bright liquid they drew back in terror), which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 55,250.00 (€ 67,189.14).
