Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work The Rest on the Flight into Egypt by Edme Bouchardon. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,960.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edme Bouchardon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Geneviève-Thérèse Mariette in . with an auction result of EUR 84,500.00.
