Auction result well in line with expectations
In January last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries, which included the work An elaborate design for a wall elevation, including a door and a window, two niches with sculptures and half a dome with two different choices of decoration by Edme Bouchardon. The price achieved of USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,742.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edme Bouchardon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Geneviève-Thérèse Mariette in . with an auction result of EUR 84,500.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.742,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden.
