Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Beijing Palace by Eddy Li was worth HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,995.37) to a buyer in November 2019. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eddy Li; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hong Kong Victoria Peak sold at auction in October 2018 with the realized price of HKD 312,500.00 (€ 35,187.96).
