Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Marilyn Monroe In The Nude by Earl Steffa Moran. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,188.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Earl Steffa Moran have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2010 the work Marilyn Monroe, 1950s was auctioned for USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,072.73).

Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marilyn Monroe In The Nude von Earl Steffa Moran zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.188,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
