It achieved a price of GBP 1,211.25 (€ 1,424.92), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Alexander Eugene Douglas Haig - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Borders Landscape, which sold at auction in May last year for GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,299.82).

Die Arbeit A group of three watercolours; von George Alexander Eugene Douglas Haig kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.211,25 (€ 1.424,92) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Für andere Arbeiten von George Alexander Eugene Douglas Haig mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Borders Landscape beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.299,82) versteigert wurde.
