In January 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Furniture, Folk Art & Decorative Arts, which included the work Seascape With Pink Building by Earl Cunningham. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,018.52), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Earl Cunningham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Coastal Waterways in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 46,915.17).

Im Januar 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important American Furniture, Folk Art & Decorative Arts durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seascape With Pink Building von Earl Cunningham zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.018,52) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Earl Cunningham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Coastal Waterways im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 46.915,17).
