Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work The amorous chef by E. Giachi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,086.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by E. Giachi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Debutante in March 2006 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,035.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The amorous chef von E. Giachi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.086,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von E. Giachi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Debutante im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.035,69).
