In November 2004 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work The Meet; And Preparing To Set Off by Edward Benjamin Herberte. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,365.00 (€ 12,033.01). Other works by Edward Benjamin Herberte have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 27,400.00 (€ 17,600.21) in April 2008 for the work A Day At The Races.
