A top price for Dwight W. Huntington
In May 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Camp of Standing Bear by Dwight W. Huntington. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,802.17). With this result, Camp of Standing Bear is even the most expensive work of art by Dwight W. Huntington that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Camp of Standing Bear von Dwight W. Huntington zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.802,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Camp of Standing Bear sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Dwight W. Huntington, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
