In January 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Spotted Bus), 1982 by Dwight Mackintosh for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,212.75). This price was achieved in the auction Beyond Imagination: Outsider and Vernacular Art Featuring the Collection of Marjorie and Harvey Freed at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house.
