Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,906.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Duncan McFarlane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The clipper ship Dreadnought in February 2006 with an auction result of USD 26,400.00 (€ 22,138.36).
