The work Haze Field Stream by Duncan McCormick was worth HKD 1,206,500.00 (€ 141,268.81) to a buyer in March this year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Duncan McCormick; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Trevor’s Dream sold at auction in June this year with the realized price of GBP 177,800.00 (€ 206,928.59).
