Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work South African untitled (Two Figures) by Dumile Feni. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,920.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dumile Feni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Head in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 60,062.00 (€ 69,667.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit South African untitled (Two Figures) von Dumile Feni zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.920,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dumile Feni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Head im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.062,00 (€ 69.667,61).
