Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work South African Dancing Couple by Dumile Feni was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in April 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,071.51), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dumile Feni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Head in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 60,062.00 (€ 69,667.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit South African Dancing Couple von Dumile Feni wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.071,51) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dumile Feni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Head im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.062,00 (€ 69.667,61).
