The work South African untitled (Figure) by Dumile Feni was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2018. The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,946.92), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dumile Feni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Head in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 60,062.00 (€ 69,667.61).

Die Arbeit South African untitled (Figure) von Dumile Feni wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.946,92) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dumile Feni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Head im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.062,00 (€ 69.667,61).
