Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work 'We Don'T Get Anything To Eat Now The Missus Has Taken It Up!' by Dudley Buxton was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 117.50 (€ 166.42). Other works by Dudley Buxton have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2004 by the work "And you'll wear those pyjamas too - I'm not going to let the shopkeepers know I married a shrimp!" at GBP 179.25 (€ 253.69).

Als die Arbeit 'We Don'T Get Anything To Eat Now The Missus Has Taken It Up!' von Dudley Buxton im Dezember 2003 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
