Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper Online, which included the work Farm Heath by William Crotch. The price achieved of GBP 375.00 (€ 423.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by William Crotch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of Windsor Castle from Clewer Lane in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,312.07).
