Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Don Getulio Vargas) by Dr. Lakra was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in May 2015. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,095.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dr. Lakra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Pomada), which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 24,500.00 (€ 35,183.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Don Getulio Vargas) von Dr. Lakra wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.095,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dr. Lakra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Pomada) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 24.500,00 (€ 35.183,61) versteigert wurde.
