Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sin Título by Dr. Lakra was sold in the Latin America: Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 21,302.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Dr. Lakra have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2007 the work Untitled (Pomada) was auctioned for GBP 24,500.00 (€ 35,183.61).
