Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2018 Christies in London held the auction Modern | British & Irish Art, which included the work Sea Haar by Douglas Swan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,992.47), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Douglas Swan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work »Air Mini«, which sold at auction in May 2014 for EUR 6,450.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern | British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sea Haar von Douglas Swan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 1.992,47) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Douglas Swan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit »Air Mini« beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für EUR 6.450,00 versteigert wurde.
