Admittedly, works by Douglas Kirkland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Marylin Monroe 1961". Original-Photographie. in December 2016 with an auction result of CHF 14,300.00 (€ 13,337.81).

Die Arbeit Marilyn Monroe, 1961 von Douglas Kirkland wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Photographs Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.105,87) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Douglas Kirkland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Marylin Monroe 1961". Original-Photographie. im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 14.300,00 (€ 13.337,81).
