Auction result well in line with expectations
The work „Vatican Library, Main Reading Room“. by Doug Hall was sold in the Auktionen 207-214 - Photographie auction at Grisebach in May 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,100.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Doug Hall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Highway 50, Nevada #1, which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,543.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit „Vatican Library, Main Reading Room“. von Doug Hall wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Auktionen 207-214 - Photographie bei Grisebach versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.100,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Doug Hall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Highway 50, Nevada #1 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.543,33) versteigert wurde.
