This artwork by Dorothy Dehner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2017. In the The Collection of Paul F. Walter auction, the work Red Headed Woman sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,994.33) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dorothy Dehner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Septenarius in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 100,800.00 (€ 86,545.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Dorothy Dehner erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Paul F. Walter wurde die Arbeit Red Headed Woman für USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.994,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dorothy Dehner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Septenarius im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 86.545,89).
