Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The scent of spring flowers by Dorothea Sharp was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in New York in September this year. It achieved a price of GBP 17,920.00 (€ 17,920.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Dorothea Sharp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In The Orchard, Picking Plums in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,759.39).

Die Arbeit The scent of spring flowers von Dorothea Sharp wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.920,00 (€ 17.920,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dorothea Sharp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In The Orchard, Picking Plums im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.759,39).
