A top price for Dorothea Sharp - as previously expected
The work In The Orchard, Picking Plums by Dorothea Sharp was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,759.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, In The Orchard, Picking Plums is the most expensive artwork by Dorothea Sharp that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit In The Orchard, Picking Plums von Dorothea Sharp kam im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.759,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist In The Orchard, Picking Plums das teuerste Kunstwerk von Dorothea Sharp, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
