The work Feeding the ducks by Dorothea Sharp was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in London in March last year. It achieved a price of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 28,454.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Admittedly, works by Dorothea Sharp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In The Orchard, Picking Plums in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,759.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Feeding the ducks von Dorothea Sharp wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 28.454,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dorothea Sharp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In The Orchard, Picking Plums im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.759,39).
