The work Paddling among the rocks by Dorothea Sharp was sold in the British and European Art auction at Christies in New York in July this year. It achieved a price of GBP 23,940.00 (€ 27,930.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by Dorothea Sharp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In The Orchard, Picking Plums in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,759.39).

Die Arbeit Paddling among the rocks von Dorothea Sharp wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 23.940,00 (€ 27.930,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dorothea Sharp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In The Orchard, Picking Plums im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.759,39).
