Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dondi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2011. In the Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries auction, the work From words to man sold for EUR 13,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dondi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hammers in Hell in November last year with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 219,703.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dondi erzielte im März 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries wurde die Arbeit From words to man für EUR 13.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dondi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hammers in Hell im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 219.703,57).
