Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Artcurial held the auction Made in Urban, which included the work Annotate Dominion - 1984 by Dondi. The price achieved of EUR 52,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dondi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hammers in Hell in November last year with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 219,703.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Artcurial die Auktion Made in Urban durch, in der auch die Arbeit Annotate Dominion - 1984 von Dondi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 52.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dondi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hammers in Hell im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 219.703,57).
