Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Don Styler could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs auction, the work A hungry field mouse changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 176.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Don Styler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree-top siesta in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,178.59).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Don Styler konnte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs wechselte die Arbeit A hungry field mouse für GBP 120,00 (€ 176,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Don Styler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tree-top siesta im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.178,59).
