Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Sans Titre (Totem Bleu), 2001 by Dominique Zinkpè for EUR 1,181.00. This price was achieved in the auction African Contemporary Art at Artcurial in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dominique Zinkpè achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Belle d'un Jour in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 13,812.00 (€ 16,031.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sans Titre (Totem Bleu), 2001 von Dominique Zinkpè für EUR 1.181,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion African Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dominique Zinkpè erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Belle d'un Jour im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.812,00 (€ 16.031,17).
