Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beninese Scene De Quartier by Dominique Zinkpè was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,543.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dominique Zinkpè - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Belle d'un Jour, which sold at auction in March 2019 for GBP 13,812.00 (€ 16,031.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beninese Scene De Quartier von Dominique Zinkpè kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.543,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Dominique Zinkpè mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Belle d'un Jour beobachtet, die im März 2019 für GBP 13.812,00 (€ 16.031,17) versteigert wurde.
