Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Beninese Koudio Ii by Dominique Zinkpè for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,543.50). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dominique Zinkpè - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Belle d'un Jour, which sold at auction in March 2019 for GBP 13,812.00 (€ 16,031.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Beninese Koudio Ii von Dominique Zinkpè für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.543,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dominique Zinkpè mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Belle d'un Jour beobachtet, die im März 2019 für GBP 13.812,00 (€ 16.031,17) versteigert wurde.
