Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Domenico Gargiulo could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Hagar And The Angel changed hands for GBP 7,250.00 (€ 7,960.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Gargiulo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gathering of the Manna in May this year with an auction result of USD 189,000.00 (€ 177,398.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Domenico Gargiulo konnte im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Hagar And The Angel für GBP 7.250,00 (€ 7.960,02) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domenico Gargiulo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gathering of the Manna im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 189.000,00 (€ 177.398,16).
