Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Domenico di Zanobi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021. In the Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I auction, the work Virgin and Child sold for EUR 73,080.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domenico di Zanobi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Madonna adoring the Christ Child with the infant Saint John the Baptist, Joseph and the Annunciation to the Shepherds, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 288,000.00 (€ 210,834.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Domenico di Zanobi erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I wurde die Arbeit Virgin and Child für EUR 73.080,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Domenico di Zanobi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Madonna adoring the Christ Child with the infant Saint John the Baptist, Joseph and the Annunciation to the Shepherds beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 288.000,00 (€ 210.834,55) versteigert wurde.
