Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work The Rice Field by Do Xuan Doan for HKD 14,025.00 (€ 1,560.09). This price was achieved in the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online at Bonhams in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Do Xuan Doan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Country Road in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,505.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Rice Field von Do Xuan Doan für HKD 14.025,00 (€ 1.560,09) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online bei Bonhams in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Do Xuan Doan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Country Road im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.505,97).
