Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Escape Artists: The Non-Conformists Online, which included the work Untitled Three Works by Dmitry Lion. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,103.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitry Lion - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,244.73).
