Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Twosome by Dmitry Gerrman was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,357.77). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitry Gerrman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reflection, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 20,900.00 (€ 29,265.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Twosome von Dmitry Gerrman im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.357,77) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Dmitry Gerrman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reflection beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 20.900,00 (€ 29.265,41) versteigert wurde.
