It achieved a price of GBP 16,380.00 (€ 18,188.59), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 37%. Admittedly, works by Dmitri Krasnopevtsev have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 122,900.00 (€ 172,091.80).

Die Arbeit Books And Candle von Dmitri Krasnopevtsev kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 16.380,00 (€ 18.188,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 37%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dmitri Krasnopevtsev auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 122.900,00 (€ 172.091,80).
